CILIP CSG Information Literacy Group Student Award

The CSG Annual Conference Student Award is open to full-time or part-time students in the UK registered on a first degree or post-graduate qualification in library studies. It is not essential that applicants are current members of CILIP or the Community Services Group.

The purpose of this award is to enable one student per year to attend the Librarians Information Literacy Annual Conference (LILAC) free of charge. This is the largest and most important conference on Information Literacy in Europe, which attracts an international attendance. The 2011 conference will take place in London on 18-20 April. The award covers conference registration, travel and accommodation expenses.

* Applications should take the form of a statement (maximum 500 words) relating to the importance of information literacy and how attendance at LILAC will be of benefit to them in their future career
